NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — The City of Norfolk says construction is beginning this week on a new buffered bike lane in the southbound lane of Granby Street.

The new lane will stretch from Willow Wood Drive to Llewellyn Avenue and connect to the existing bike lane.

The work should take about a month to complete.

The bike lane will feature white pavement markings, flex posts and bright green paint.

The new lane is also supposed to help slow vehicle speeds into the Riverview community.
