NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — A person suffering from a gunshot wound walked into Bon Secours DePaul Medical Center Monday night.

Police spokesman Daniel Hudson says they received a call at 10:20 p.m. about a 31-year-old man who walked into the hospital with a gunshot wound.

The injury was said to be non life-threatening.

Hudson says the man told police he was shot after an unknown man walked toward him on W. Ocean View Avenue, and the two began to fight. He says the man who was shot is expected to be OK.

This was the second time Monday that a gunshot victim walked into a Norfolk hospital. Earlier in the day, a person who had been shot showed up at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.
