NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — A person with a gunshot wound walked into Sentara Norfolk General Hospital Monday afternoon, according to police.
Dispatchers say the victim arrived at the hospital at 4:50 p.m. Police spokesman Daniel Hudson says officers responded to a call at 4 p.m. Monday about a gunshot disturbance on Halifax Street.
Police found a small crime scene in the area, but no gunshot victim. Hudson says a 21-year-old man arrived at Sentara Norfolk at 4:50 p.m., while officers were investigating the scene on Halifax.
It’s not clear if this person was shot on Halifax or somewhere else. Hudson said Tuesday morning that the man’s status was listed as stable.
