Woman assaulted, robbed outside Virginia Beach Food Lion

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) – Police released images of two people accused of assaulting a woman outside a Virginia Beach Food Lion, in hopes someone recognizes them.

The victim was standing in front of the grocery story in the Pleasant Valley Marketplace Tuesday night around 9:15 p.m. when a man and woman approached. She told police they immediately started hitting her and that the man robbed her at knifepoint. The suspects were last seen running toward Bridle Creek Apartments.

Police say the victim received minor injuries and was treated at the scene.
