Disaster assistance available for some Virginia farmers

HAMPTON ROADS, Va. (WAVY) — The U.S. Department of Agriculture is making disaster assistance available for some farmers in Virginia due to flooding from Hurricane Matthew.

Farmers in Chesapeake, Southampton County, Suffolk, Virginia Beach, Greensville County and Brunswick County may be considered for assistance like emergency loans from the Farm Service Agency (FSA) if they meet eligibility requirements.
