2 arrested in Dare County in 2 days on drug-related charges

DARE COUNTY, N.C. (WAVY) — Authorities in Dare County say they arrested two men in two days in separate drug-related investigations.

Sheriff’s Office Capt. Kevin Duprey says Charles Donald Buxton, 34, and was arrested Monday after a search warrant was executed at a home in Kill Devil Hills.

Marijuana, drug paraphernalia and money were all found during the search. Buxton was charged with felony charges of possession with the intent to sell/deliver marijuana and maintaining a dwelling for a controlled substance.

He was released on a $10,000 secured bond.

Bradley Taylor Boyd, 22, was arrested Tuesday after authorities seized cocaine during a traffic stop. Authorities say Boyd had gone outside of the county to buy cocaine and was expected to return with it to Kill Devil Hills.

Kitty Hawk Police Department Patrol Division and Nags Head Police Department K-9 helped during the traffic stop.

Boyd was charged with felony possession of cocaine, and was released on a $15,000 secured bond.
