CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) — A public hearing is being held Wednesday night for residents to look at proposed plans for a widening for the Interstate 64 Southside Widening and High Rise Bridge project.

VDOT will be showing proposed plans for the project, which calls for I-64 to be widened from four to six lanes from around a half mile east of Interstate 264/Bowers Hill to about 1 mile eat of Interstate 464.
