Second alarm fire displaces four from Norfolk home

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — A family was displaced from their Norfolk home Tuesday night by a second alarm.

Dispatchers received a call about the fire at 9:30 p.m. When fire crews arrived to the home, located in the 1100 block of Pascal Place, they found the house and an attached garage fully involved with fire.

Joe Milligan with Norfolk Fire-Rescue said there was debris and other obstacles that made it difficult for crews to navigate around the home.

Four people, three adults and one child, escaped from the home without any injuries. Two pets didn’t make it out alive.

The residents will be displaced from the home.

In total, 37 firefighters responded to the scene.
