5 injured in crash on S. Quay Road in Suffolk

SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Five people were injured after an accident in the 7100 block of South Quay Road Monday.

Dispatchers received a call at 11:58 a.m. about a reported crash involving three vehicles.

One adult was airlifted to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital with non life-threatening injuries. Four adults were also taken to a local hospital by ambulance. They are all expected to be OK as well.

The westbound lanes of the road were closed for nearly an hour.

Authorities are still investigating the cause of the accident.
