VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — Public Works crews in Virginia Beach are starting construction to improve Princess Anne Road at 7 p.m. Sunday, October 23.
The work will take place on both the nourthbound and southbound lanes of Princess Anne from Dam Neck Road to College Place/Tiffany Lane. More construction will be done on the northbound lanes of Princess Anne from Lynnhaven Parkway to Windsor Oaks Boulevard.
Crews will be working mostly in the evenings, from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. Daytime paving may take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Any weekend day work would be from 7 p.m. to 5 p.m.
The work is expected to be completed by November 22.
The milling and paving operation will likely create traffic delays, congestion and some noise. Warning signs will be posted ahead of the lane closures to alert drivers.
When possible, drivers should try to find an alternate route. Keep in mind, scheduled work is dependent on weather conditions.
