HAMPTON ROADS, Va. (WAVY) – The following is Elizabeth River Tunnels weekly schedule for tunnel/lane closures that may affect regular traffic in Hampton Roads. Due to the nature of construction, closure dates are subject to change. Visit the Travel Impacts page for current information.

Downtown Tunnel

  • I-264 West: Downtown Tunnel open with a single lane closure spanning from the tunnel to Elm Avenue Monday through Thursday Oct. 24-27 from 8 p.m. each night until 5 a.m. the following morning.

Midtown Tunnel

  • U.S. 58 East: Full weekend tunnel closure from Friday, Oct. 21 at 8 p.m. through Monday, Oct. 24 at 5 a.m.
  • U.S. 58 East:Midtown Tunnel open with a single lane closure Monday through Thursday, Oct. 24-27 from 8 p.m. each night until 5 a.m. the following morning.

MLK Freeway

  • High Street: Alternating lane closures in both directions Monday through Friday, Oct. 24-28 from 5 a.m. to 7 p.m. each day.
  • London Boulevard East/ U.S. 58: Full ramp closure from Friday, Oct. 21 at 8 p.m. through Monday, Oct. 24 at 5 a.m. The ramp will then be closed Monday through Friday, Oct. 24-28 from 8 p.m. each night until 5 a.m. the following morning.
  • U.S. 58/ London Boulevard East: Full ramp closure Monday through Friday, Oct. 24-28 from 8 p.m. each night until 5 a.m. the following morning.
  • I-264 East: Full interstate closure between Victory Boulevard and Greenwood Drive Monday, Oct. 24 from 10 p.m. until 5 a.m. the following morning.
  • I-264 East: Lane closures between Portsmouth Boulevard and Effingham Street Sunday through Thursday, Oct. 23-28 from 9 p.m. each night until 5 a.m. the following morning.
