3 caught in Chesapeake for overnight vehicle larcenies

CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) — Three suspects who were seen tampering with cars in Chesapeake will be charged will multiple vehicle larcenies, according to police.

Chesapeake police were called shortly before 1 a.m. to the area around Johnstown Road and Johnstown Crescent for a reported suspicious person.

Officers on scene found that multiple vehicles had been entered and had items removed. Three suspects were later spotted tampering with vehicles by officers checking around Williamsburg Drive and Battlefield Boulevard.

All three were apprehended following a food chase. Police say 18-year-old Anthony Poff, 21-year-old Travonte Warren and a juvenile will be charged with multiple larcenies.
