NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – Police arrested a suspect connected to the Wells Fargo Bank robbery on East Little Creek Road Wednesday morning.
Police say 18-year-old Saijvon D. Steward, entered the bank around 9:54 a.m. and implied he had a gun. The teller complied and the Steward fled the scene on foot just prior to police arrival.
Steward was taken into custody a short distance away and was charged with robbery and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony. He is currently being held in Norfolk City Jail without bond.
There were no injuries reported.
The same Well’s Fargo Bank was robbed on September 12. Police say they do not believe the two robberies are connected.
