Hampton Roads Is Showing Some Love This Weekend!

Saturday, October 22 : Light the Night Walk 

Our community is helping to make a BIG difference by taking steps to end cancer. On Saturday, thousands of Hampton Roads families, friends and cancer survivors will join WAVY-TV’s Tom Schaad in the Light the Night Walk to help raise funds and bring awareness. Each attendee will be given a beautiful lantern to proudly display that honors the survivors, support the patients and remember those we’ve lost. The event kicks off this Saturday at the MacArthur Center in Norfolk at 5 p.m.


Saturday, October 22 – Sunday, October 23 : Virginia Craft beer festival

Music, food and more than 25 breweries are headed to the Oceanfront for the Virginia Craft Beer Festival! Festival-goers can sample more than 50 craft beers in their commemorative cups all while enjoying live entertainment. Blackwater Jam, Woodwork and many more talented local groups will take the stage to perform while you enjoy the fun atmosphere! The Virginia Craft Beer Festival is happening this Saturday & Sunday at 31st Street Park from 1 – 6 p.m. Tickets are sold at the door.


Sunday, October 23: JT Walk @ 34th St Park

Over the last 8 years more than 30,000 people have gathered at the Virginia Beach Oceanfront to participate in what is now known as the JT Walk & Beach Party. The annual walk is to help raise awareness to fight ALS and will also have some major star power there to help! The band Train has been crushing it in the music industry since the 90’s, and now they are performing at the beach party event. The JT Walk starts at 10 a.m., but you’ll want to get their early for registration, parking and refreshments. The live music at the beach party will kick off at 1 p.m.
