SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — 10 On Your Side has learned that Del. Rick Morris (R – 64th District) and his wife, Kathryn Denise Morris, have agreed to drop protective orders against each other.
A source tells 10 On Your Side’s Andy Fox that the two agreed in court Tuesday to drop the protective orders. The protective orders were related to abuse claims that the two had recently filed against each other.
Morris was charged in September with assault and battery to a family member and felony cruelty and injury to a child related to alleged domestic incidents.
State delegates called for Morris’ resignation following the accusations, but he has said he will not leave his seat. Morris on Oct. 5. filed counter claims of abuse against Kathryn Morris.
The Morris’ also agreed this week on 50/50 custody of their three youngest children.
