Va. Beach student reports seeing suspicious vehicle at bus stop

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — A Virginia Beach student reported seeing a suspicious vehicle at his bus stop Friday morning.

Lauren Nolasco with Virginia Beach City Schools says administrators immediately called the police, and they worked together to investigate the incident.

Virginia Beach police say they were called to John B. Dey Elementary School and spoke with a student who reported that someone a light-colored pickup truck gestured toward them.

Police say the incident happened at the intersection of Laural Cove Drive and Trant Lake Drive between 6:50 a.m. and 7:10 a.m. The student ran to tell their parents.

Nolasco tells 10 On Your Side that police said there was no reason for concern and no other actions needed to be taken.
