CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) — Grassfield High School will soon be outfitted with new football equipment, courtesy of a partnership with Schutt Sports and Sports Plus.
A spokesman with Schutt says the “groundbreaking” partnership will ensure the Grassfield football team “will continue to have the greatest access to the most advanced football helmets and equipment.”
“Our motto at Grassfield High School is “Building a Community of Excellence,” Mike Perez, the school’s principal, said in a news release issued Monday. “Part of that statement refers to our community partnerships, and whether it is a partnership for our STEM program or for our athletic program, we want to partner with groups like Schutt that represent excellence in their fields as well.”
Schutt says the multi-year agreement means Grassfield will be better able to purchase gear for its football players. Sports Plus is a sporting goods dealer that represents Schutt out of Chantilly.
