Crews working to repair gas leak in Chesapeake

CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) — Firefighters are on scene of an outside gas leak in the area of Jackson Avenue and Park Avenue.

Emergency dispatchers got a call about the leak at 8:13 p.m.

Virginia Natural Gas crews are digging up the area to make repairs. They’re expected to be finished some time Tuesday morning.

No one has been evacuated as a result of the gas leak.

Chesapeake police are blocking roads within a one-block radius of the leak.
