Metro PCS in Portsmouth robbed at gunpoint


PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) — A suspect is on the loose after robbing a Metro PCS in Portsmouth Sunday evening.

Police were called around 4:50 p.m. for a robbery at a location on High Street. Security footage released Monday shows a man dressed in dark clothing walked into the store, and pull out a handgun.

This person appears motions toward a store clerk.

The clerk is then seen filling a bag with cash from a register, with the suspect pointing the gun at them. Police say the suspect fled from the scene after the clerk complied with their demands. No one was hurt.
