Virginia Beach Town Center enters next phase of development

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) – The Virginia Beach Town Center is continuing to grow. It’s about to enter its next phase of development.

Armada Hoffler Properties will break ground on a $35 million mixed-use project on October 24. When complete in 2018, the building will include street-level shopping and restaurants and about 120 luxury apartments.

During the groundbreaking event, the company will announce the names of two upscale national brand retailers who have already committed to fill more than 18,000 square feet of space in the tower.

Already announced… Zeiders American Dream Theater will invest $8 million to build a performing arts center and the City of Virginia Beach is investigating another $3 million to create an open-air public plaza on the tower’s second level and a pedestrian bridge connecting the building to a parking garage.
