Man and teenage girl arrested following robbery in Hampton

HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) – Police have arrested two suspects in connection with a robbery that happened in the 1200 block of North King Street, Thursday evening.

Police say that Robert Damon Stonewall, 19, and a 16-year-old contacted a man about buying an electronic item. When the man met with the two suspects, Stonewall pulled out a gun and demanded the victim’s property. The victim then fled the area on foot.

No injuries were reported.

Officers were able to find and arrest both suspects in the same area as the robbery. Police were able to find the gun which was stolen from the city of Hampton.

Stonewall faces charges of attempt robbery, one count of use of a firearm in commission of a felony and receiving a stolen firearm.

The teenage girl faces charges of attempt robbery, one count of use of a firearm in commission of a felony and possession of a firearm by a juvenile.
