Police identify two suspects in Hampton double shooting

HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) — Police have identified two suspects in connection with a double shooting that happened a few blocks away from Spratley Gifted Center Thursday afternoon.

One suspect is Rashann Lamar Jones, 19, and the other is Dominique Flanary, 20, according to police.

Both have active warrants for two counts of malicious wounding, one count of shooting into an occupied vehicle, one count of shooting from a vehicle, and two counts of use of a firearm in commission of a felony.

Dispatchers received a call at 2:15 p.m. that a shooting had just happened in the 200 block of Woodland Road, near Woodcrest Drive.

Police say two vehicles were traveling southbound on Woodland when the suspects’ vehicle pulled up beside the victim’s vehicle and fired a single shot into the vehicle. The single round of gunfire struck both the driver and the passenger.

The two men were taken to the hospital for injuries that appear to be non life-threatening.

The suspects’ vehicle is being described as a silver or grey mid-size sedan.
