Virginia Beach police say a call for a death investigation was received around 7:30 a.m. along Cape Arbor Drive, just off of Shore Drive. Responding officers found a woman dead.

The victim was identified Wednesday as 72-year-old Olive G. Twyman.

Police said Tuesday that the case was considered a homicide. The case is still under investigation by the Virginia Beach Police Department and Detective Bureau-Homicide Unit.

In the neighborhood Tuesday where police say they found Twyman’s body, neighbors identified the house where the victim lived.

Although no neighbors wanted to talk on camera, a few of them told 10 On Your Side’s Brandi Cummings Twyman lived in the home with her son and dog.

Everyone Cummings spoke to described the victim as a very nice person. They also said she was active in her church.
