NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Norfolk crews are battling a fire at an unoccupied house off of Cape Henry Avenue and Early Street.

Crews were called to the area shortly after 5 a.m. Dispatchers tell the house was fully engulfed in flames when crews arrived.

Neighbors tell 10 On Your Side that the residents had moved out weeks ago. A “for sale” sign was out in front of the home Tuesday morning.

The fire was brought under control within 30 minutes after crews arrived to the scene. Officials say the main body of the fire was in the front of the home, where a roof collapsed.

No one was injured in the fire. Officials have not determined a cause for the fire.
