Residents displaced after car hits home in Hampton

HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) – Hampton Police and Fire-Rescue crews responded to a car that crashed into a home on Valor Place Saturday afternoon.

According to Fire Chief Chittum units were dispatched around 12:20 p.m. for a single vehicle that went into a home while residents were inside. The Technical Rescue Team used props to hold up the home to ensure public safety. The home will be condemned.

The cause is still under investigation. Police have not released any details whether or not any charges are pending.
