1 taken to hospital after auto-pedestrian crash in Norfolk

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Police are investigating an auto-pedestrian accident in the 700 block of Church Street late Friday night.

Police say they received a call about the accident at 10:45 p.m. Preliminary investigation revealed that a Ford Mustang was traveling southbound on Church Street when a 47-year-old man ran into the street in front of the car.

The man was taken to Norfolk Sentara General Hospital with serious injuries but is expected to survive.

The driver of the vehicle remained on scene and was not injured. No summonses have been issued at this time.

The investigation is still on-going.
