Health officials seeking dog that bit person in Williamsburg

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (WAVY) — Peninsula health officials say they are looking for a dog that bit a person near the Monticello Woods subdivision in Williamsburg on Tuesday.

Officials say they are looking for a short-haired, dark-colored dog from the reported biting incident. The victim may have  to undergo treatment for rabies prevention if the dog is not found.

The dog will not be taken from its owner if it is found, but will be placed on 10 days on in-home confinement, according to officials.
