NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — A former school bus driver pleaded guilty Monday to sexually assaulting a five-year-old girl in the parking lot of Thurgood Marshall Elementary School in April of 2015.

Larry Homan, 71, was sentenced to 45 years, but is set to serve 19 years for sexual battery and indecent liberties.

Homan was arrested in the summer of 2015 after a parent contacted school administrators. That parent had concerns Homan was fondling her child on the school bus.

In December of 2015, Homan pleaded guilty to one count of producing child pornography.

Court documents show on at least three occasions, Homan produced sexually explicit images inside his apartment. On at least one occasion, Homan coerced an 8-year-old to engage in sexually explicit conduct, which he recorded.

A federal judge sentenced Homan to 25 years on the child pornography charge.
