Two arrested for allegedly robbing man at gunpoint in Hampton

HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) – Hampton Police arrested a man and woman for allegedly robbing someone in the 800 block of LaSalle Avenue.

On August 9, dispatch received an emergency call just before 3:00 a.m. for a report of a robbery. When officers arrived on scene, they met with the victim, a 41-year-old Hampton man. The victim said he was waiting in the parking lot of an apartment complex in the 800 block of LaSalle Avenue for a friend when he was approached by two unknown people.

One of the suspects had a handgun and demanded the victim’s property. One of the suspects, now identified as Kesha Leshawn Williams-Toliver, then took the victim’s cell phone from him. Both suspects then ran from the scene.

As a result of the investigation, 39-year-old Kesha Leshawn Williams-Toliver, of Hampton, and 21-year-old Monquez White, also of Hampton, were arrested. Both were charged with one count of robbery and one count of use of a firearm in commission of a felony
