Officials: Fire in Chesapeake was intentionally set

CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) — Officials have determined that a fire in the Camelot neighborhood of Chesapeake was intentionally set.

The fire was reported in the 1200 block of Excalibur Court Wednesday at 11:08 p.m. Firefighters arrived on scene three minutes later and found a fire that was burning in the street, but had been extinguished.

Officials say something similar to a Molotov cocktail was found at the scene. There was no property, but officials say the case is still be considered arson.

No injuries were reported.

No suspects have been identified.
