Norfolk holding rabies vaccine clinic Saturday

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — The City of Norfolk is offering a rabies vaccine clinic for pet owners on Saturday.

The clinic is being held at the Public Health headquarters building at 830 Southampton Avenue from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. City officials say all animals must be over 12 weeks of age.

The cost of the clinic is $5 per cat or dog. Cats must be kept in a cage and dogs must be kept on a leash.

You must have a previous rabies certificate for a 3-year vaccine. Otherwise, a 1-year vaccine will be administered.
