Police arrest 4 after stolen vehicle crashes in Suffolk

SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Police arrested four people after a stolen vehicle crashed in Suffolk Thursday afternoon.

Around 1:46 p.m., officers got a report that a possible stolen vehicle was traveling westbound on Route 58 into Suffolk. Police saw the Dodge Nitro taking the Pitchkettle Road exit. The driver continued onto King’s Fork Road, where they ran a red light at the intersection of Pruden Boulevard/Route 460 and hit a Jeep Wrangler.

The Jeep had minor damage. No one was injured.

Immediately after the crash, all four people inside the Dodge Nitro ran from the scene. Officers arrested three males and one female about 100 yards from the accident.

Police say the vehicle was stolen from Newport News.

Authorities are still investigating.
