Armed robber fires shot inside Hampton 7-Eleven

HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) – Police are looking for an armed robbery suspect who fired his gun inside a Hampton 7-Eleven late Wednesday night.

Around 10:18 p.m., police received a call that the 7-Eleven in the 8500 block of Orcutt Avenue had just been robbed. The suspect reportedly entered the store, pulled out a gun and demanded money. As he was leaving, police say he fired one round into the ceiling, but no one was injured.

The suspect is described as a black male, with a medium skin tone, 5’8″-5’9″ tall, 150-170 lbs., and was last seen wearing a dark grey Norfolk State Spartans hooded sweatshirt with the hood covering a black ball cap, stone washed blue jeans, white cotton gloves, a grey mask covering his face, and armed with a medium framed handgun.
