Woman, 19, arrested for allegedly stabbing man in Newport News

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY) — A 19-year-old woman was arrested in connection to a stabbing in Newport News.

At 10:52 p.m. on Tuesday, officers were dispatched to the 1200 block of 32nd Street for a reported stabbing. Police arrived on scene and found the victim, a 23-year-old Hampton man, with a stab wound to the upper right side of his chest.

The suspect was identified as Mahogany Parker, 19, from Newport News.

The victim did not give police any other information about the incident other than the suspect’s name.

Parker was said to have fled the scene after the stabbing. The victim was taken to a local hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

Police say the suspect and the victim know each other.

Parker was taken into custody in the 2600 block of Warwick Boulevard. She’s charged with unlawful wounding.
