Stolen City of Chesapeake truck driven into pawn shop

CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) — A stolen City of Chesapeake Public Works truck was driven into a pawn shop early Wednesday morning.

At 3 a.m., officers responded to the pawn shop, located in the 3300 block of S. Military Highway for an alarm going off. Once on scene, police found the stolen city Ford F-250 truck had crashed into the building.

The truck was stolen from the city pump station, in the 3900 block of S. Military Highway.

Police say it didn’t look like anything was stolen from the pawn shop.

Police do not have a suspect description available and say there was no surveillance video of the incident.

The case remains under investigation.
