Missing Norfolk man found safe

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Norfolk police say a man who was reported missing Tuesday evening has been found safe.

68-year-old Clarence Edward McInnis, who goes by “Uncle Boot,” left Sentara Norfolk General Hospital against medical advice at about 4:00 p.m. Tuesday. He suffers from dementia, schizophrenia and epilepsy.

Police say McInnis was found around 12 a.m. Tuesday near Eastern Virginia Medical School.

McInnis was recently reported missing in June 2016. A Virginia Beach police officer found him three days later.
