Man taken to hospital after forklift accident in Chesapeake

CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) — A man was taken to the hospital after an industrial accident in Chesapeake.

Chesapeake Fire Captain Scott Saunders says a fork lift bumped into a man on a high lift, knocking him down 10 to 12 feet.

Dispatchers received a call about the incident at 6:18 p.m. Emergency crews responded to the scene, at 1960 Diamond Hill Road, by 6:23 p.m.

Saunders couldn’t confirm the name of the business where the accident happened.

The man was taken to the hospital. It’s not clear how badly he was injured, but Saunders says he was conscious and alert.
