Crews respond to fire at vacant Portsmouth home

PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) — Crews responded to a fire at a vacant home in Portsmouth Monday night.

Dispatchers received a call about the house fire at 9:49 p.m. Firefighters arrived at the scene in the 2400 block of Charleston Avenue at 9:55 p.m. to find the single-story home with smoke and flames coming from the roof.

No injuries have been reported.

Crews are still on scene.

Fire investigators are still working to determine a cause.
