Officials say the raccoon was in the Atkinson Way and Warwick Boulevard area of the city.
In a separate case, officials say they are looking for domestic short hair cat that bit a person on Tuesday, Sept. 13, near Briarfield Road and Jefferson Avenue.

Anyone who has or may have had contact with the raccoon or has any information about the cat is being asked to contact Health Department at (757) 594-7340.
