NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — The man charged in the 2015 shooting death of Chasity Parker has pleaded guilty and will be sentenced in December.
Steven Williams, 23, was charged with first-degree murder, armed burglary, shooting into an occupied dwelling, use of a firearm in commission of a felony and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon in the 2015 incident.
Investigators tracked down Williams at a hotel in Chesapeake the day after the shooting.
Prosecutors say Williams stole a gun and used it to kill Parker, who was his girlfriend at the time.
Eric Korslund, Williams’ attorney, said Thursday, “Ms. Parker was his girlfriend for a very long time. He feels extremely horrible about the entire situation.”
Williams will be sentenced on December 16.
