RICHMOND, Va. (WAVY) — Gov. Terry McAuliffe announced on Wednesday the launch of a new online portal for students affected by the recent closure of ITT Technical Institute campuses.

Several area institutions have announced or offered assistance for displaced ITT Tech students, including Tidewater Community College, Everest College, Hampton University and most recently, ECPI University.

The online portal for ITT Tech students is being billed as a place students get information on steps they can take to continue their education.

ITT Tech shuts down all campuses after federal aid sanctions

ITT decided to close all of its campuses last week —  including the Norfolk campus — after the U.S. Department of Education said it could not enroll students who are on federal financial aid.

This new website contains links to the Virginia Community College System as well as the Virginia Department of Veterans Services.
