Kentucky murder suspect arrested in Norfolk

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – A suspect in a murder/robbery that happened in Kentucky was arrested on Saturday.

According to the Shively Police Department, the victim was murdered during a robbery that happened in August 21.

Shane Van Williams, 25, was wanted as a co-conspirator on charges of facilitation of murder and facilitation to first degree robbery. Police also believe he is likely the shooter.

Investigators were about to find Van Williams in Norfolk and an arrest warrant was obtained. Police Williams is also wanted for murder in New York.

Van Williams is being held at the Norfolk City Jail.

Both Kentucky and New York are filing extradiction papers for Van Williams.
