Police looking for Family Dollar armed robbery suspect in Norfolk

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – Police are searching for a suspect in connection to an armed robbery of a Family Dollar employee that happened on September 5.

According to police, a 29-year-old woman, who was a store employee, told police that she left the store in the 1800 block of East Little Road to go the bank around 8:45 a.m.. Upon leaving, an unknown male approached her in the parking lot displaying a hand gun and demanded money. The woman complied and the man fled the scene before units arrived on scene.

There were no injuries reported.

The suspect is described as a black man around 5’8” tall, 145-150 lbs, thin mustache, black hat, black shirt and blue shorts.
