Va. Beach mayor awards teen for saving two lives

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — A local high school sophomore was honored Thursday for saving two lives.

Miles Williams was skimboarding earlier this summer along the Chesapeake Bay when he heard cries for help.

The Princess Anne High School student swam out to help the two swimmers. He made two trips to bring them to safety.

Williams was awarded the Lifesaver Award by Virginia Beach Mayor Will Sessoms.
