NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – A Norfolk woman is fighting to get her pet Yorkie back, after the three-year-old pup was reportedly stolen from her home on Tuesday morning.
“He’s my baby,” Anna Arculin told 10 On Your Side, fighting back tears.
Arculin said she let “Chico” out to use the bathroom in front of her home on Windermere Avenue around 9 a.m.
She then let him back inside, and walked into another room. Suddenly, she heard someone open the door and leave within seconds.
“Chico” was gone.
“He’s so friendly, if anyone were to grab him, he’s not gonna bark,” she says.
Arculin has since filed a police report and phoned local animal shelters. She has posted missing signs all around the area and hopes anyone with information will come forward.
“I’ve had him since he was three weeks old,” she says. “I fed him with an eye dropper. He won’t eat unless I’m there, so I don’t know if he’s eating or if he’s okay.”
“Chico” was not microchipped. She says he has a few patches and a green line on his stomach.
Police told 10 On Your Side there is no suspect information, and no reported witnesses.
