Man caught with loaded handgun in carry-on bag at ORF

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — A man from Virginia Beach was caught with a loaded handgun inside of a carry-on bag at Norfolk International Airport on Tuesday.

Officials say the man was caught at a security checkpoint with a .45-calber, semi-automatic handgun that was loaded with six bullets.

The man has been issued a citation for a state weapons charge.
