Xenith recalling football helmets

DETROIT (WAVY) –  Football helmet company Xenith is recalling several models of youth football helmets because of possible cracking.

The company says the shell of certain gloss or metallic painted EPIC Varsity, X2 Varsity and X2E Varsity football helmets made between May 1 of 2015 and March 18 of 2016 can crack, resulting in an injury hazard.  So far the company says it hasn’t gotten any reports of anyone being hurt.

Xenith says its replacing all helmets at no charge to customers.
