Police search for armed robbery suspect in Newport News

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY) – Police are asking for help identifying an armed robbery suspect of the Shell gas station in the 900 block of J. Clyde Morris Boulevard.

Police say that back on July 24, the suspect came into the store, went to the drink section and removed a six-pack of beer from the cooler. As he went to the front cash register, he pulled out a gun, pointed it at the store clerk and demanded cash.

The suspect then left the store on foot. No injuries were reported.

He is being described as white between 5’6”- 6’0”, mid-20’s, medium-build, wearing a white t-shirt with green writing and a blue, turban style head-covering. In addition, the suspect was not wearing any gloves or shoes.
