Newport News laboratory to host cyber security summit

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY) – The Thomas Jefferson National Accelerator Facility will host the first-ever Cyber-Physical Systems Summit, Governor Terry McAuliffe announced.

The Summit is being conducted in conjunction with the National Governor’s Association and is an extension of Governor McAuliffe’s Chairman’s initiative Meet the Threat: States Confront the Cyber Challenge.

Participants will hear leading cyber-physical experts provide insights on being prepared for the cyber-physical challenge, and how developing a culture of awareness and preparedness is essential to successfully defending against an ever increasing litany of cyber challenges.

The event will take place September 20 – 22.
