CAMDEN COUNTY, N.C. (WAVY) — A Suffolk man was arrested in Camden County for allegedly stealing a woman’s identity.

Tecorey Deonte Jamal Fortson was charged with felony obtaining property by false pretense and felony identity theft and common law forgery.

The Camden County Sheriff’s Office says Fortson used a woman’s identity that had been stolen online to buy six pairs of Christian Louboutin shoes worth $8000.

The shoes were shipped by UPS to Camden County, where they were to be picked up by Fortson. Deputies found the suspect at the UPS location waiting for the package. They then found that Fortson had intercepted two other packages within the last week.

Authorities say Fortson signed the victim’s name and accepted the packages.

Fortson was released from Albemarle District Jail after posting a $25,000 secured bond. He has a court date set for August 26.
